Welcome to Cleeve Hill Racing
Anyone who has ever been racing knows how exciting it is backing a winner! There is something about cheering your selection home that few other sports can rival, so imagine if that horse you had just cheered home was actually yours ?
Take that one step further and imagine saddling up your own horse in the parade ring or better still, being in the winners enclosure immediately after your race, and that’s where Cleeve Hill Racing comes in.
We are based in Yorkshire, and the horses are trained with Tim Vaughan in South Wales – so why are we called Cleeve Hill Racing ? Well, we specialise in National Hunt racing, and our aim is to get your horse running – AND WINNING – at Cheltenham, the home of National Hunt Racing, overlooked of course by Cleeve Hill. It really is that simple!
In our opinion, absolutely nothing beats Cheltenham whether it’s the 4 day sell out of the Festival, the Paddy Power Cup at the November Open meeting or in fact any of the other meetings from October through until May.
Now our horses aren’t going to be running at Cheltenham every time they run, and they will get to see plenty of other tracks around the country, some high profile, some less so. But, the Grand National excepted, Jump meetings really don’t come any bigger than Cheltenham, so it’s here at some point across the season that we ultimately aim our horses, so that our owners can dig out their best threads and brush shoulders with racing’s elite.
In our opinion, to have a runner on a big race day at Cheltenham is what National Hunt racing ownership is all about!
And its not just about watching your horse at the races, as we offer much more than that.
We’re very friendly folk up here in Yorkshire, so if you re in the locality, and you want to stop by our offices to talk about the horses before becoming an owner, we’ll be sure to get the kettle on for you (just let us know you re coming first!). Far more interesting though is a trip to the Tim’s yard to see the horses (see Tim’s own page for full details on how we can arrange that for you). There is also a very social element to our racing, and over the years we’ve met some great friends through racing syndicates. Depending on the day and the racecourse, some owners even stopover and make a weekend away of things.
We also offer a Summer BBQ and a Christmas get together both of them at Tim’s yard (full details on our events page). You’ll get the chance to see your horse on the gallops and there’ll be complimentary food and drink (though you’ll have to bring your own champagne!). In short, win or lose we will guarantee you a good time both on and off the track!
And that is why we are different from the rest!
